A Scottish highland rural countryside landscape painting of a small abandoned farm croft in Caithness in the remote far North of Scotland, where some of the communities can be like ghost villages with houses left empty and old farm machinery left in the fields.
This is one of my earlier mixed media pieces combining my photographs of an abandoned thatched croft house, barns and tractor and peat stack on to a textured board, with acrylic paint.
In this painting I have tried to capture the atmosphere of these many remote and deserted buildings in this area of the Scottish highlands. Painted in sombre muted yellow and grey brown tones to suit the mood and atmosphere of these places.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a square format 22 3/4" x 22 3/4" (58 x 58cm) textured board, and collaged photographs, with a varnish finish and white limewashed wooden frame with cord ready to hang.

Will require a signature on delivery.
