'Cactuses on the Pidurangala Rock'
Size 16 x 12 inches (42 x 30 cm).
The euphorbia cactuses on the top of the Pidurangala Rock in Sri Lanka. Pidurangala Rock or “offered piles of Gold” is an important place for Buddhists and was first used as a Buddhist monastery. It is believed to date back to the reign of King Kasyapa before the first and second centuries.
These days, the temple is working and you can visit it and climb on the top to see the spectacular views of the surrounding area and Lion Rock in Sigiriya.
Original watercolor painting - painted on watercolor paper (Fabriano). Need a decorative frame. On the front side in the lower right corner - the author's signature. Include a certificate of authenticity.
