▶Butterfly «Touch of Tenderness»🦋
This bright and colorful semi-abstract butterfly painting belongs to the «Tropical Butterflies» series. In nature, butterflies are incredibly beautiful creatures with bright, eye-catching, or delicate patterns, that mimic the surrounding vegetation. In my paintings, I represent butterflies as the embodiment of energies that transform into feelings and emotions and touch our hearts deeply. This butterfly is called «Touch of Tenderness». The orange background is the color of joy, and the mysterious blue-violet colors of the butterfly symbolize a complex range of feelings: tenderness, embarrassment, frankness, and anticipation of happiness.

I use a unique oil painting technique to create a beautifully vibrant background which I then paint over with watercolors. I give the butterfly's wings volume and texture with thick acrylic layers.
