Everyone needs Love.
So what better way to show your love for that special someone than to give a selection of beautifully coloured, hand crafted, love hearts 💕
I created sheets of clay for these hearts using the Mokume Gane technique, a decorative Japanese metal working technique, which originated from the 17th century when it was used to decorate samurai swords, and has been used with other materials such as polymer clay for many years now.
The sheets were then cut into hearts and domed to form the shapes.
Once fired they were attached to tiny foam board plinths and mounted on a card backing.
Materials used:
Polymer clay, foam board, and card in a box frame glazed with glass
