I'm thrilled to present this piece, part of a limited series featuring androgynous busts. Each work is truly unique, and I've had a blast experimenting with how colour influences form. I've been exploring its impact on the mood and context of each sculpture, and I'm excited to see how it all comes together! Polychrome sculpture is a frequent favourite of mine, and I can't wait to see how this series unfolds.
This sculpture is something special. I started working on it back in 2023 in my old studio. Then I moved to another studio and the sculpture waited for its time. I've come up with some new glazes that have a crawling nature. This one's a pastel warm yellow, which went perfectly with the lower layers. I'm glad I took the time to think it through. The sculpture went through three firings and was finally completed in 2025.
Shipped in a wooden crate. When shipping, I make individual foam cushions for the sculpture. This is the best way to ship ceramic items.
