Original artwork description
This work emerged through a process of layered gestures and diluted pigment, allowing color to spread, fade and reappear across the surface. Intense reds and oranges dominate the painting, suggesting heat, erosion and the slow movement of energy.
A dark central form interrupts the field of color, creating tension between expansion and containment. The composition balances movement with emptiness, as if the painting were capturing the moment when fire begins to cool into shadow.
The work is part of an ongoing exploration of abstract painting where emotional states are translated into color atmospheres rather than representational imagery.
