Painted on-site in Minneapolis, MN. Features an oak tree in autumn whose leaves are a deep burgundy color. The dark, shiny leaves shimmer with highlights of red, orange, lavender, and mauve, with the tiniest bits of moss green remaining at the top of the tree. To the right, gold and green leaves from background trees peek through. Painted on board with oil over casein paint. The running and granulating effects in the grass and sky were created with casein paint, which dries to a soft, matte finish and contrasts with the thicker, glossier oil. Painted with both palette knife and brush. The texture of the foliage has been enhanced by impasto application of paint. Iridescent oil paint has been incorporated into the foliage colors. Framed in a 2.5" wide wood frame with a dark brown finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
