Introducing the latest addition to my “Back in NYC” series - an oil painting depicting a crumpled Burger King bag. This artwork embodies the essence of pop art, celebrating the transformation of everyday objects into unique pieces of art through human intervention.
During my journey through the bustling streets of New York City, I stumbled upon this humble Burger King bag. Yet, in its crumpled state, it became so much more than just packaging. It became a symbol of our consumer culture, of the hustle and bustle of city life, and of the individual stories woven into the fabric of our daily experiences.
In this series, I aim to capture the spirit of pop art by elevating these seemingly ordinary objects to the realm of artistry. Each painting is a testament to the beauty found in the mundane, and to the transformative power of human touch.
