This watercolour is based on a photograph shared by a friend. I was immediately drawn to the subject — a charming window in Burano — and captivated by the vivid colours and strong contrasts. The composition features green shutters, blue blinds, and deep blue shadows, with two pots of flowers bringing a lively focal point to the scene. I chose a simplistic, almost graphic style to emphasize the bold shapes and colour interplay, aiming to capture the essence of the place rather than every detail.
