This painting shows a woman enjoying a painting by Franz Marc. To him bulls symbolize immense, raw, and untamed physical power and vitality.

They also served as a vehicle to convey spiritual ideas, using a color theory where blue represented masculinity, yellow for femininity and joy, and red for violence or the physical world. To me the bulls fighting represents the utter nonsense of fighting amongst each other.
