Hi,
This painting is a colourist and realistic scene from Trafalgar Square in London.
The work is taken during twilight when the ambient blues are at their most dramatic. I have enhanced the complimentary yellows and oranges to create more atmosphere. The walking figures are depicted as blurred and moving; this creates depth and motion.
Painting the reflections in the the saturated stone floor was very enjoyable - I will be returning to this subject.
