Bright red and gold carp seem to invite you to play in their water element.
These fish inspired me to create an oil painting when I learned about an ancient Chinese legend. It said that when such a fish grows up and becomes wise, it has a chance to become a dragon!
To do this, the fish needs to gain strength and courage and overcome all obstacles, swimming against the current. For those carp that succeed, the spirits of nature open the dragon gates, and the fish gain immortality, turning into dragons.
I love such legends. It always inspires me to create!

I used canvas on a stretcher and good professional paints.
