Original artwork description:

The photos for this large piece, which I had been working on, were taken last spring of the most beautiful magnolia on the Heemraadsingel in Rotterdam. Honestly, I have never seen a more beautiful magnolia than this one. I chose a very bright gold colour and vibrant, electrifying hues to give the piece a bit of an Asian feel, aiming to excite and energise the viewer. The work is created on a linen aluminium 3D frame measuring 120 x 180 cm. It was created using my usual mixed-media technique, combining digitally manipulated print-on-paper, gel medium, oil paint, oil sticks, and bright gold chrome paint.
