While painting this piece, I kept recalling the early morning light on the Sicilian hills outside my studio, how the sky shifts from cool blue to a quiet yellow before the day begins. That memory guided the layering process, influencing when to stop, when to soften, when to let the texture breathe. I remember thinking “don’t rush this part” and almost laughing at myself while working.

The blues in Bright Eno feel expansive, like open air or deep water, inviting the mind to drift outward. The ochres, warm and grounded, hold the work close to the earth, to presence, to the body. A subtle thread of yellow cuts through the composition, almost like a signal or a path. The painting carries the sensation of a gentle awakening, of light emerging slowly from within a landscape. It is calm, steady, and quietly luminous, offering a moment of spacious clarity to whoever stands before it.
