I painted Breezy Day by the Windmill in oils on a 12 x 12 inch cradled canvas panel. This folk art scene is full of colour and movement, inspired by the joy of simple country life. The painting shows bright sailboats drifting across a sparkling blue river, a red windmill turning in the breeze, and colourful kites flying high above rolling hills. Families walk among blossoming cherry trees, children play, and the landscape feels alive with the warmth of springtime. My goal was to create a cheerful, nostalgic piece that celebrates community, nature, and carefree days outdoors.
