One-of-a-kind artwork
“Boundaries of Color — Teal & Umber Diptych” is a two-piece contemporary abstract created with textured acrylic layers, palette-knife strokes, and contrasting transitions of teal blue, soft beige, warm umber and crisp white.
As I worked on this diptych, my focus was on the balance between structure and movement — letting vertical and horizontal forms intersect like shifting boundaries between calm and energy. Each canvas holds its own rhythm, yet together they create one unified visual pulse.
I built the textures using multiple layers of acrylic, allowing pigments to break, merge, drip, and settle naturally. This technique gives the surface a tactile depth — subtle scratches, knife marks, matte and glossy transitions — all the small details that reveal themselves only up close.
This diptych is ideal for a modern interior that needs a statement centerpiece with earthy warmth, teal accents, and clean contemporary structure.
The artwork is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and ships in a tube. This method is particularly safe for oversized works and ensures lower transport costs. Rolled works may be easily stretched upon arrival (placed on wooden stretchers for canvases) and/or framed by a local framer.
