Original artwork description:
The brilliant magenta-pink bougainvillea in this Carmel-by-the-Sea courtyard instantly lifted my spirits. Their vibrant color has a way of brightening not just a garden, but the entire mood of a place. I painted this scene en plein air during the Carmel Art Festival, hoping to capture that joyful burst of color, the quiet charm of the fountain, and the warmth of the courtyard that inspired me.
Materials used: Oil paint on Claessens linen mounted on 1/8" Sintra panel. The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. It is listed unframed, and will require a frame to hang. It will easily slot into a standard 11"x14" picture frame. Images showing the artwork framed in home interiors are for presentation of potential framing ideas only. Frame is NOT included.
