After physically experiencing and researching about the Boboli Gardens in Florence, I keep thinking about the idea of a natural space designed by architects. The Gardens are a natural space where everything is specifically placed and follows a particular design, structure or/and composition. In this drawing, I’m playing with the concept of nature and man-made as one. The tree represents nature and one of the actual trees in the garden. However, each leaf was drawn, designed and positioned in a specific place. The tree trunk follows a particular design while the grid in the bottom part represents the grid arrangements of the gardens and architecture.
