Original artwork description
This view of Borrowdale from Walla Crag is stunning. Most people look across over Derwent Water but if you look left from the summit, your view is cast across towards Borrowdale. I knew that I wanted to paint this view when I reached the summit but I'd forgotten my pencil. A stick and a muddy puddle had to suffice. The sketch worked and I was able to paint from my muddy sketch.
This painting is on box canvas, and continues around the sides so it's ready to hang on the wall. 2 coats of satin varnish are added for protection.
