20 x 46 x 18cm / 20 x 46cm (actual image size)
£680
Original artwork description
Borders Are a Desert explores the invisible limitations we place upon ourselves and the distance they create between who we are and who we might become. Contrasting surfaces and intersecting forms suggest both separation and connection, reflecting the inner boundaries that shape our choices, fears, and possibilities. The flowing blue-green glaze moves like life seeking its natural course, while textured pale surfaces evoke the walls we construct in search of certainty. Created through an intuitive handmade process, this one-of-a-kind ceramic sculpture is a meditation on growth, courage, and the freedom that emerges when self-imposed borders begin to dissolve.
