This was a piece done at tge request of my licensing agent, per a new trend; “Bright Portraits”. Of course, I had to do something with a nod to one of my favorite painters ( And A Guy with whom - if I’d lived a hundred years ago- we’d have been neighbors on the Cote D’Azur) Henri Matisse. I didn’t pause to reflect about choosing a particular palette, but rather jumped in, and watched this image arrive on my canvas! I always love this kind of surprise; not knowing exactly where I’m going or what the result will be!!! This canvas is painted around the edges so it can be hung, unframed if preferred. ** Please Note; this painting will ship from France! Shipping costs to USA is around $30-$40; about the same as shipping within the US.
