Original artwork description:

The composition started as a purely abstract exploration of texture and tone. The result of which had this deep earthly and captivating feel of which I grew very fond. And than, looking at this setting, wonering how to proceed I got a clear glimpse of a small figure, somehow descending onto this, illuminating the painting with its presence. Turned out to be a great intuition as the figure truly completes this little painting and brings it to life.
And about the title: the whole scene makes me think about the Buddhist ideal of Bodhisattva, which is a word to describe being that even though liberated from the world, returns to it voluntarily in order to help others - I always found this very beautiful and inspiring.
And so this is my little homage to all those Bodhisattvas and nice inspiring work to place in your home.
