Original artwork description:

Painted on location in two sessions at Portavogie Harbour, Northern Ireland. The boats had just come in after, what seemed, a good days catch. Busy day with lots of activity boats coming in and out of the harbour. Crews processing their catch and throwing out scraps for the seagulls and harbour seals.

The abstract approach and layered transparent shapes naturally lent itself to suggesting the fleeting movement of the boats.

Materials used:

Acrylics
