Original artwork description
I painted Boats in La Tremblade inspired by the quiet charm of coastal life and its unhurried rhythm. Before me stood a traditional fishermen's house with a bright red roof, reflecting the character of this unique place. In the foreground, I placed a small fishing boat, resting as if it were waiting for its next journey out to sea. The weathered wooden pilings emphasize the simplicity and strength of the local fishing heritage. La Tremblade is renowned for its oyster farms, welcoming seafood restaurants serving freshly harvested oysters, and its warm atmosphere that attracts visitors from around the world. I used bold brushstrokes and vibrant contrasts to capture the living spirit of the landscape. The blue accents on the house and the boat bring a sense of freshness and the crisp sea air. My intention was to portray not only the scenery but also the peaceful feeling that can only be found far from the bustle of city life. In this painting, sincerity, freedom, and the beauty of everyday coastal life were especially important to me. I hope the viewer can feel the unique atmosphere of this welcoming place, where the sea, fishing traditions, oysters, charming restaurants, and curious tourists come together to create the timeless appeal of the French Atlantic coast.
