Original artwork description
Boardwalk is part of my new series RAIN or SHINE. The Rain and Shine series is based on photos combined as a play between reality and abstraction.
I referece bokeh photography which is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in out-of-focus parts of an image. I've spent many a rainy day photographing the world through my windshield that I then use as reference for my rain paintings.
2021 - Oil on Cradled Board –24 H x 24 W x 1.5 Inches and ready to hang
Cradled with a solid wood frame, the panel won't flex, stretch, or warp. The edges are sanded edges to allow for a finished look that is ready to hang.
The painting is signed and dated by the year and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
DENNIS CRAYON REALIST CONTEMPORARY REALISM
I’ve earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the State University of New York and later earned a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in painting. It was there that I began to learn classical painting. I later moved to Washington, D.C., and studied at the Zoll Studio of Fine Art in Timonium, Maryland, fully delving into classical painting techniques and trompe l’oeil. I am an active member of Washington, D.C.’s artistic community. My work has been shown locally and nationally.
