Blue Room 3 is part of Zakhar Shevchuk’s Blue Room series, created during an artist-in-residence stay and inspired by emotionally neutral hotel interiors. In this work, the artist shifts focus from architectural structure to the experience of space itself.

The composition is intentionally minimal, built from broad fields of pale blue and off-white, with subtle lines marking boundaries rather than defining objects. The swimming pool remains present as a quiet horizontal plane, merging seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

Rooted in modernist and minimalist traditions, Blue Room 3 offers a contemplative reflection on contemporary interiors, temporary living, and the presence of absence within carefully designed spaces.
