Blue Remembered Hills inspired by the rolling costal landscape of Dorset. The costal fields roll up, down and into each other sensuously twisting and turning, very distracting when one is supposed to be driving and there is nowhere to stop and look.
The landscape is all very nostalgic , there is a lack of phone masts and pylons which is why the chosen title is from a line from A E Houseman’s poem A Shropshire Lad writing about a nostalgic longing for the past.
Painted while on a landscape workshop in West Bay this year, richly textured and colourful. Framed in a plain frame hand painted in Farrow and Ball’s Downpipe. Signed titled and dated on the reverse. Shipped with a track and trace identity carefully packed in mostly recycled materials.
