I am a typical city dweller. I live in the large industrial city of Chelyabinsk. I was born in this city, then spent my childhood with my parents in small towns, but in the same region. Our large region is the Urals.
And although I spend most of the year in the city, I live in the countryside in the summer. We have a house there. And there are two beautiful lakes near this small village. And a small pond.
The painting "Evening Glow on the Lake" was only partially painted in our village. I got the impression of the sunset right here. Distant shore, reed beds, this is a view of the lake, where I often like to go in spring and summer.
And I copied the shimmering water from another lake in our area. This lake is called Uvildy.
Lake Uvildy is large, deep and very beautiful. And not only with their shores. The water in this lake is unique. Firstly, there are many underground springs in the lake, so the water is frigid. Secondly, the lake's bottom is formed by rocky rocks containing mica.
Mica rises from the bottom and permeates all the water. The water is spotless and tiny flakes of mica play in the sun.
So in the picture, the water sparkles not just from the sun but also the mica particles in it.
This piece would be a beautiful accent in a bedroom, living room or reading corner where a sense of serenity and gentle romance is welcome. It works especially well in interiors with natural materials, soft textiles and muted colours, enhancing a peaceful, contemplative atmosphere. The painting can be displayed alone as a focal point or combined with other landscapes to create a calm, cohesive wall of nature-inspired art.
