Original artwork description
During an evening walk through the old quarter of Malaga (Spain), the eye caught a narrow opening between buildings where light gently dissolved the distant facades.
On site, monochrome studies and photo notes were made; in the studio, the scene came together in a unified indigo–ultramarine palette, to convey damp sea air, stone texture, and the feeling of a path toward light.
Here's a painting that exudes the cool of the old town: a narrow street leads the eye toward the light, and shades of indigo and ultramarine softly reveal the texture of the stone walls and pavement.
