Original artwork description
There are works that don't ask to be looked at, but listened to.
Works that aren't satisfied with a single orientation, because their truth is not linear, but circular.
This canvas belongs to that rare family of works that exist in two directions, as if the material itself holds a double breath.
In the ascending direction, the composition becomes impetus:
the elements seem to emerge from a remote backdrop, rising toward a light that is not a promise, but memory.
It is a vital movement, a tension that flows through the blue like an underground current.
Here the work speaks of rebirth, of what returns to the surface after being forgotten, of fragments that demand a new beginning.
In the descending direction, everything becomes more intimate.
The material settles, lets go, descends with a slow and luminous grace.
The objects lose weight, becoming suspensions, traces, deposits of time.
The light does not guide: it accompanies.
It is a movement inward, toward a silence that is not emptiness, but listening.
Two souls, one work.
One that rises, one that descends.
One that emerges, one that settles.
In both, the same truth: matter is never still, and light has no single direction.
This work doesn't ask us to choose a definitive direction.
It asks us to accept that each orientation is a different way of narrating the same transformation.
And perhaps it is precisely in this ambivalence that its deepest strength lies.
