Original artwork description
The work is made with oil pastels on tinted paper. When I painted this work in the Ukrainian village, the rural nature reminded me every minute that by painting a simple boat I was painting a reflection of the whole rural life in it. The boat spoke to me with a light splash on the water of the pond, the creaking of the boards from which it was made, the dancing rays of the sun on it. It was a happy time. The work was done with oil pastel on tinted paper.
