Blue Anemone (2023) Original Mixed-media Sculpture by Swapna Namboodiri

This unique sculptural artwork was created with great amount of love, passion and dedication. Found and collected single use plastics had been individually hand-cut, painted and assembled to portray dainty organic floral formations inspired by blue poppies. The textural elements have been stained using self developed techniques to obtain a stained glass affect, which creates beautiful reflections depending on the source of light! The artwork comes in a glass cloche and is perfect to add a touch of natural beauty and modern contemporary vibe instantly.
Project - 'For the planet' :
I started doing upcycled artworks since 2016, after a pledge to work for a greener planet. All the plastic bottles with different textures are upcycled to get unique textures on my artworks. Its my way of contributing for a better planet. So by collecting one of my original works from this series you are indirectly becoming part of this art journey for a cause.
The artwork will be signed on the base and certificate of authenticity will be attached.
