There’s a space between sleep and waking where the world softens, and everything becomes feeling. That’s where this painting was born. The tree in the foreground — solitary, almost ghostlike — stands not just in nature, but in memory. I painted it as a vision: branches tangled in silence, surrounded by sage green and muted blossom tones, as if spring whispered in a dream. This work is part of my ongoing Fragrant Garden series and carries that quiet blend of reality and illusion that lives in the early morning air.
