Mallow (malva) flowers have always felt like home to me. Blooming near village houses, swaying gently in the warm summer breeze, they are a cherished symbol of Ukrainian countryside life and childhood memories. With this piece, I wanted to capture their delicate beauty and deep connection to my roots.

“Blooming Memories” is part of my Threads of Ukrainian Soul series, where I blend acrylic painting with traditional Ukrainian embroidery. The flowers are painted in soft yet vibrant pink tones against a deep blue sky, while the side of the canvas is adorned with an intricate hand-stitched Ukrainian ornament—woven threads of heritage, connecting past and present.

This artwork is a tribute to Ukraine’s natural beauty, cultural traditions, and the nostalgia of home.
