This oil painting was inspired by fascinating landscapes of Scotland and traditional song about a Highland lad who left the thatched cottage and his grandmother in the Highland hills to seek his fortune in another part of the world. Very skilfully, the artist turns his brushstrokes into almost photorealistic landscape with mountains and a valley with the blooming heather.
The artwork is in private collection, but the artist is open for commissions and may repeat the artwork if you really like it.
