"This diptych has a lovely pastel palette inspired by spring colors. I wanted to create a light and joyful painting with various lightly toned hues. I layered several coats of acrylic paint to achieve a rhythm and balance that is pleasing to the eye. There are also flecks of gold leaf that appear between the bars. The colors that border on one another are carefully chosen and layered to create a slight tension with overall harmony.
The two 40”x30” canvases that are interchangeable to create various configurations (see the additional photos).
This large painting is the perfect way to bring luxury into any home and can be beautifully displayed on a dining room, bedroom wall, above a sofa or a kid's room."
