At the moment a black sun or black dwarf sun is only a theoretical possibility, emitting no heat or light how could it support life as we know it. Yet in an artist eye anything is possible in the vastness of the universe. Here is my vision of a black sun seen from the surface of a planet in the far reaches of the cosmos. Its orbit coincides with a red giant behind it creating a colorful and dramatic corona in the dark sky.
