Black Cloud is a striking abstract painting that captures the emotional weight of tension gathering in the air. Broad, dark strokes sweep across the top of the canvas, forming a cloud-like mass that feels heavy, charged, and foreboding. Below, layers of white and grey dissolve into one another, creating a sense of turbulence and uncertainty.

Inspired in part by the psychological atmosphere of living through repeated bombings in Ukraine, the painting remains open to wider interpretation.
