Birth of the Universe (2023) Original Mixed-media Painting by Galina Zimmatore

Birth of the Universe is a large original abstract painting inspired by the mystery, energy and extraordinary beginnings of the universe.

I wanted to imagine that first immense transformation — light, matter and energy emerging into a vast new space. Colour, pattern and movement spread across the canvas, suggesting forces forming, colliding and gradually finding their own rhythms.

The luminous blues at the centre are surrounded by flashes of yellow, red, purple and darker tones, creating a sense of expansion, movement and creative energy.

I created the painting using acrylic paint, pastel, spray paint, stencil techniques and Posca paint pen on unstretched canvas.

The painting measures 100 × 130 cm and is supplied unstretched and unframed. It will be carefully rolled and shipped in a protective tube, ready for the collector to have stretched or framed according to their preference.

Signed by the artist on the back and supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
