Original artwork description:

Bird Bot is adorable and one from my new series of hybrid robots where I create an imaginary past of an imaginary future.
Fashioned from parts using vintage ads and diy magazines, he’s an assemblage of 11 paper pieces and quizzically sits alongside these Common Waxbills.

Every detail of this bot has been considered from the angle of his legs and gripping claws to his wings, that on closer inspection read fast and slow (though you'll need a magnifying glass to see it!)

The framed original has now sold but you can still own this as a 10x8 inch Giclee Print with a large white margin that represents the original in size.
Produced on 310gsm Hahnemuhle paper and limited to an edition of 50.
Each print is signed and numbered on the back and packaged in recyclable bags.

The recycling side of collage feels all the more prevalent in this piece and a visual response to the world now as technology and AI evolves and changes everything at lightening speed.
Science Fiction seems more like Science FACTion more than ever.
