BIRCHES (STUDIO 6) from my project Syksy.

This image is part of my abstract series Syksy, a project born in the northern silence of Finland, especially Lapland, where autumn unfolds in vivid, sometimes surreal, visual poetry. Syksy as a whole aims to transcend traditional landscape realism, focusing instead on emotional and geometric interpretations of nature and Birches (Studio 6) is one of its most dynamic and textural expressions.

In this piece, I used intentional camera movement to dissolve the literal form of birch trees into vertical rhythms and flickering patterns. The image becomes almost musical—reminiscent of sheet music or cascading light. The vertical streaks, which echo the slender trunks of the birches, are layered with erratic brushstrokes and soft motion, creating a fluid tension between structure and chaos.

The palette leans on a delicate balance between warm autumnal golds and cooler blues, with occasional hints of green and white. These tones, combined with the movement, produce a sense of time slipping—like a season turning in a single breath.
