Original artwork description:
Painted on-site in Minneapolis, MN. An autumn scene featuring two tall birch tree trunks full of yellow foliage. The leaves at the bottom display yellow-green, the leaves at the center display golden yellow and brown, and pale yellow and cream predominate at the very top of the branches. Painted on board with oil over casein paint. The spattering, running and dripping effects in the grass and sky were created with casein paint, which dries to a soft, matte finish contrasting with the oil paint. A gentle impression of background trees and shrubs has been rendered in oil with brush, whereas the birch trunks and leaves have been rendered with palette knife and thickly textured oil paint. Framed in a 3.5" wide wood frame with a black finish and gold inner edge. May also be purchased unframed by request.
