Original artwork description
This painting belongs to 'Wondering Heights' collection, a series of cityscapes/mindscapes and lyrical skies representing collective dreams and desires drifting and sparkling above a brutalist concrete jungle. A tribute to the colourful power of imagination as a relief from everyday life urban greyness but also to the challenges and inputs to inner growth and self-discovery that life in the big city can expose to.
Acrylic, oil and collage on panel with black wooden frame.
Made of recycled materials: reused wooden panels, discarded wall paint leftovers, paper cut-outs of digital images treated with acrylic resins and seamlessly incorporated into the composition.
The juxtaposition of the three different techniques (digital, oil and acrylic) gives the whole image a distinctive depth and intensity.
Materials used:
Acrylic, oil and collage on panel
Details:
- Mixed-media painting on Panel / Board / MDF
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 18.5 x 23.3 x 1cm (framed) / 14.3 x 19.4cm (actual image size)
