I paint a lot at this location on the Big Sur Coast, and every one of these plein air paintings is different, because I paint at different times, different weather and light conditions, different seasons. What all of these paintings have in common is the feeling of immediacy, highlighting the sharp contemporaneity of the artist’s sense of touch and pattern, that usually comes through in the painting.

Materials:
Oil on Oil Primed linen canvas on 1/4" wood panel. Painting surface sealed with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
