This oil painting is from a current group of works called 'Summer Series', inspired by my archive of family photographs.
For this day of big feelings on the Esplanade, I wanted to use the colours of seaside, nostalgia and a bright hopeful atmosphere.
Through layers and expressive brushwork the painting reflects childhood summers through memory and reflection.
Framed in a natural light wood frame.
