In this still life, I explore my fascination with quiet contrasts and the dialogue between nature and form. The idea came to me after a visit to a market in late summer—fruits in all colors, arranged casually yet full of presence. I was drawn to the richness of citrus tones, the reflective surfaces of glass, and the quiet dignity of everyday objects.
The rounded glass vessel filled with green liquid became a central symbol for me—something alive, maybe even mysterious, like a hidden source of energy or a distilled essence of summer. Next to it, the smaller glass with red berries and leaves felt like a fleeting counterpart—delicate and momentary.
I arranged the three citrus fruits in front carefully, each one with its own shape and tone, like small characters with a quiet voice. The scattered red berries serve as gentle interruptions, almost like soft punctuation in a visual sentence. The wooden table, with the petrol-colored cloth, reminds me of the modest but meaningful spaces where simple things become beautiful—kitchens, studios, places of calm creation.
The deep black background isolates the scene and enhances the clarity of color and form. It creates stillness, yet the image feels full of life. For me, this painting is a meditation on simplicity, balance, and the fleeting richness of what surrounds us—if we choose to really see it.
