- Bibbona fir tree
Original artwork description
Last summer, I vacationed along the coast in Bibbona, Tuscany. Each evening, as the sun descended, we strolled back from the beach through the sand dunes to our tent. The low sunlight beautifully illuminated the distinctive pine trees with their unique aerial roots.
Recently, I created my first artwork using chrome and wanted to apply the same technique to the photographs I took in Bibbona. These images possess a more raw quality that stands in intriguing contrast to the romantic magnolias, making them particularly captivating. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. The artwork is challenging to capture in photographs, as the chrome effect doesn’t fully reveal itself, yet it exhibits a constant sense of movement when you stand before it.
I created the artwork on a 140x140 cm canvas with an Aluminium 3D frame using mixed media, including print, gel medium, acrylic, oil paint, oil bars, and a hint of light copper chrome paint.
Materials used:
Print, grain gel medium, heavy gel medium, acrylics, satin coating
Details:
- Mixed-media painting on Canvas
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 140 x 140 x 4.5cm (unframed)
- Ready to hang
- Signed certificate of authenticity
- Style: Unspecified
- Subject: Landscapes, sea and sky
