'Beyond the Empty Blue'Linocut by Layla Khani (aka Laylart)

This unique artwork is crafted using a reduction linocut printing technique and is available in a limited edition. For this landscape print, I've delved into the gentle hues and forms inspired by the natural world and the scenery that surrounds me, particularly during the serene beauty of winter.

The process of reduction printing is rather extensive. It involves individually applying each colour to the linoleum block and transferring it onto paper through an etching press. I continue to carve, ink, and print over each successive layer until the image is complete. This meticulous process is repeated for every single print within the entire edition.

Disclaimer: Despite my best effort, as every single image is hand printed, the colours may look slightly ( hardly noticeable) different from the images shown, which makes it a unique work of art. Please also be aware that the colours you see on your screen may be slightly different from the original prints, which is almost impossible to avoid.
