Original artwork description
Thank you so much for your interest in my art.
To help you quickly find the pieces you’re drawn to — from blue abstracts to typography — here’s a tip that might be useful:
I’ve curated my pieces into themed collections which you‘ll find on the left under my Shop section.
„The sea! the sea! The endless sea! The deep, the wild, the eternally free!“
As the viewer gazes at my work, I hope they can’t help but be transported into my world, sailing around the world with my family for seven years. An incredible journey: 7 years, 30,000 nautical miles / 55,000 kilometers, 28 countries. Storms, waves, transatlantic passages, the almost incomprehensible vastness of the Pacific, weeks with no land in sight, isolated islands...
Acrylic on sailcloth
Created on an original section of our main sail, the work maintains its corners, folds, and edges in their natural state. The sail has crossed over 30,000 nautical miles, making the material itself a witness to a journey around half the globe.
140 x 70 cm / 55“x 27.55“ in
Acrylics/mixed media on authentic, used sailcloth
The artwork will be shipped rolled, ready for framing behind glass.
Stretching it on a stretcher frame is not recommended.
I'm a fulltime freelance artist since 2003, you can find my work in galleries (London, Madrid, Melbourne), exhibitions, art fairs and in collections all over the world.
