Original artwork description
I know this moment.
The air thickens without warning, light drains from the edges, and the road ahead becomes a tunnel rather than a destination. The engine hums beneath me like a heartbeat—steady, reassuring—while everything else feels uncertain.
When the weather closes in, the world narrows. Sound dulls, distance collapses, and instinct takes over. Fear is there, but so is excitement. Heightened, sharpened. I am more present than at any other time. The bike, the road, and my body become a single moving thing.
The figure in this painting is me, but it is also anyone who has ridden into the unknown. This is is the echo of that moment, the sense of being slightly removed from the ordinary world. As if the ride has slipped me briefly into another place, where time stretches and meaning feels closer, more elemental.
Between Worlds is about that threshold—when weather, motion, and awareness align, and riding becomes less about travel and more about crossing into something quieter, darker, and strangely alive.
